Crossroads programme

Terms & Conditions for the Coaching Experience

Travel arrangements are provided separately by the travel agent under their own terms and conditions.

Last updated: 1 October 2026

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) are entered into between Maria Bardolet and Laetitia Antonowicz (together, “we”, “us”, “our”, the “Coaches”) and the individual booking a place on the Coaching Experience (the “Participant”, “you”). These Terms govern the Coaching Experience only. The Travel Package is arranged, provided, and governed separately by the travel agent, an independent, licensed travel agency, under its own terms and conditions.

Article 1: Introduction & binding agreement

1.1 Definitions

Capitalised terms used in these Terms have the meanings set out below:

Coach: A professional trained to partner with clients in a creative, thought-provoking process that inspires them to maximize personal and professional potential.

Coaching: A structured, confidential process of conversation and reflective practice between a coach and a client (or group of clients), intended to support the client in clarifying goals, gaining insight, and identifying a direction or actions of their own choosing. Coaching is not therapy, counselling, medical treatment, or the provision of professional advice (business, legal, financial, or otherwise).

Coaching Experience: The coaching elements of the Crossroads programme, comprising: (i) remote individual and group coaching sessions delivered before and after the retreat; and (ii) in-person coaching and facilitation delivered during the Coaching Walking Retreat. The Coaching Experience does not include the Travel Package component of the Crossroads programme. The Coaching Experience has been designed and is delivered by Laetitia Antonowicz and Maria Bardolet, professional certified coaches.

Crossroads programme: A transformational nature-based coaching journey, combining two independent components: the Coaching Experience (provided by Laetitia Antonowicz and Maria Bardolet) and the Travel Package (provided by the travel agent). Sometimes referred to as “The Programme”.

Facilitator(s): The certified coach or coaches who design and deliver the Coaching Experience in the Crossroads programme, including conducting individual and group coaching sessions and leading the Coaching Walking Retreat, walking with participants on the Camino, facilitating reflection and learning along the way.

Nature-based coaching: Coaching practice that intentionally takes place outdoors and/or draws on the natural environment as part of the coaching process, with nature being a co-facilitator in the process.

Participant: An individual who has booked and is taking part in a Crossroads programme.

Travel agent: The independent third-party business responsible for arranging and providing the Travel Package. The travel agent is a separate entity from Laetitia Antonowicz and Maria Bardolet.

Travel package: The travel package from Santiago de Compostela to Fisterra, provided by the travel agent, comprising: the route, accommodation, food (breakfasts and dinners), luggage transfer between stages, insurance (including emergency vehicle assistance in case of injury or accident, at the insurer’s cost), a taxi contact service for participants who are unable to continue walking for non-medical reasons (taxi cost payable separately by the participant), and remote (phone) assistance during the walk. The travel agent is an independent, licensed travel agency and is not a joint provider of the Coaching Experience.

Coaching Walking Retreat: A multi-day programme combining reflective activities with sustained physical walking in an outdoor, natural setting, over consecutive days, designed to support reflection and personal development through the combination of movement, nature, and dialogue. Sometimes referred to as “The Retreat”, the Coaching Walking Retreat is the face-to-face Coaching Experience component of the Crossroads programme, taking place in Spain, from Santiago de Compostela to Fisterra, over 6 days.

1.2 Scope of these Terms

These Terms govern the booking and participation in the Coaching Experience only. The travel agent is not a joint provider of the Coaching Experience, and your booking of the Travel Package is governed exclusively by the travel agent’s own terms and conditions, booking confirmation, and cancellation policy, which we encourage you to read carefully before booking. We are not a party to, and accept no responsibility for, the contract between you and the travel agent in relation to the Travel Package.

1.3 Acceptance of Terms

By paying the deposit for the Coaching Experience, or by otherwise confirming your intention to join the Crossroads programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1.4 Contract formation

A binding contract between you and us for the Coaching Experience comes into existence at the moment we receive your deposit. No place on the Coaching Experience is guaranteed until your deposit has been received in full.

1.5 Age requirement

The Crossroads programme is designed for and open to adults only. By booking, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

Article 2: Booking, deposit & payment terms for the Coaching Experience

2.1 Scope

This Article applies only to payment for the Coaching Experience. Payment for the Travel Package (accommodation, food, luggage transport) is made separately and directly to the travel agent, under their own payment terms, and does not form part of this contract. You will need to arrange and complete that payment independently with the travel agent in order to secure the Travel Package alongside your Coaching Experience booking. You will also need to arrange your own travel to and from the departure (Santiago de Compostela, Spain) and arrival (Fisterra, Spain) points of the Coaching Walking Retreat.

2.2 Price

The price of the Coaching Experience is €930 per participant, or €730 for (i) bookings confirmed before 26 November 2026 and (ii) bookings benefiting from a discount. All taxes are included (except the city tax in Santiago de Compostela). The Coaching Experience does not include the Travel Package defined in 1.1 (i) provided by Tee Travel, transport to and from Santiago de Compostela, or travel insurance, which are covered by participants separately, or any expenses not explicitly listed as included in the Coaching Experience.

2.3 Deposit

To secure your place, a non-refundable deposit of €300 is due at the time of booking. This deposit reserves your place on the Coaching Experience, unlocks the start of your coaching journey, and confirms the booking of your Travel Package. It also covers our upfront administrative and preparatory costs, including initial intake coordination. The deposit is strictly non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

2.4 Balance payment

The remaining balance for the Coaching Experience is due by 31 December 2026 for the April 2027 edition, or immediately after booking if you sign up after this date. We will send a reminder ahead of this deadline.

2.5 Late payment

If the balance is not received by the payment deadline, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and to release your place to another participant, without refund of the deposit paid.

2.6 Included / excluded

The Coaching Experience is defined in Article 1.1 (c). It does not include: flights or transport to/from Santiago de Compostela, travel insurance, the Travel Package defined in 1.1 (i) (arranged separately and paid directly to the travel agent Tee Travel), personal expenses, or any activities not explicitly listed.

2.7 Choosing not to walk a stage

If you choose not to walk on a particular day, you will miss the in-person coaching delivered while walking that day. We will do our best to reintegrate you into that day’s other coaching activities, including any sessions held before and after that day’s walk. No refund or credit is given for any walking day you cannot or choose not to complete.

Article 3: Your cancellations and refunds for the Coaching Experience

3.1 Scope

This Article applies only to cancellation of the Coaching Experience. To cancel or amend your Travel Package, please contact the travel agent directly and refer to their own cancellation policy. Refunds for the Travel Package are entirely at their discretion and are not affected by, or dependent on, any cancellation of your Coaching Experience booking, and vice versa.

3.2 Non-refundable deposit

If you cancel your booking, the €300 deposit is non-refundable, regardless of when or why you cancel, as it covers our upfront administrative and preparatory costs. This does not apply if we cancel the Coaching Experience ourselves; see Article 4.2 (Minimum participant numbers) and Article 4.4 (Force majeure) for what happens to your deposit in those cases.

3.3 Cancellation timeline

If you need to cancel your place, the following refund schedule applies to the balance paid (excluding the non-refundable deposit):

Cancellation dateRefund of balance paid
Before 31 December 2026100% refund of the balance paid, excluding the non-refundable deposit, minus bank, payment system or currency exchange charges
1 January – 9 March 2027No refund. Transfer to another person is possible for a €100 administration fee if no individual coaching session has taken place, or if sessions already taken are paid for separately. Transfer to the next Crossroads edition is also possible for a €100 administration fee
10 March – 9 April 2027No refund. Transfer to another person or the next Crossroads edition is possible only at our discretion, for force majeure reasons, and subject to a €100 administration fee

This schedule applies only to the Coaching Experience, not the Travel Package (accommodation, food), which has its own cancellation policy set by the travel agent.

3.4 No-show policy

If you fail to arrive at the Retreat start point without prior written notice, you forfeit 100% of all fees paid for the Coaching Experience, and no refund will be issued.

3.5 Transfers

Transfers of your Coaching Experience booking to another person, or to a future edition of the Crossroads programme, are available only as set out in the cancellation timeline in Article 3.3 above, and are subject in each case to an administrative fee of €100. Any transfer of your Travel Package must be arranged separately and directly with the travel agent, and is subject to their own terms.

3.6 Travel Package cancellation policy — for information only

The following schedule, supplied by Tee Travel, applies to an individual participant who cancels within the group. The cancellation charge is calculated according to the notice given before the Travel Package starts:

Notice before departureCancellation charge
30 days or moreThe amount required to reserve the Travel Package
29–15 days25% of the total Travel Package price
14–8 days50% of the total Travel Package price
7 days or fewer100% of the total Travel Package price

These conditions concern the Travel Package only and are provided for information. Tee Travel’s own booking terms govern the Travel Package and should be consulted for the binding conditions.

Article 4: Our cancellations and force majeure for the Coaching Experience

4.1 Scope

This Article covers cancellation of the Coaching Experience by us. It does not cover cancellation of the Travel Package by the travel agent. The travel agent is solely responsible, as the organiser of the Travel Package, for any decision to cancel or alter travel arrangements, and for any resulting compensation or refund relating to that part of your booking. If the travel agent cancels the Travel Package, this does not automatically entitle you to a refund of the Coaching Experience, and vice versa. We encourage you to check whether your Travel Package booking with the travel agent is contingent on the Coaching Experience proceeding, or independent of it.

4.2 Minimum participant numbers

The Coaching Experience requires a minimum of 4 participants to proceed. If this minimum is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the Coaching Experience, and will notify you no later than 10 weeks before the Retreat start date (by 31 January 2027 for the April 2027 edition). In this case, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid to us for the Coaching Experience, including the deposit. We strongly recommend that you do not book non-refundable flights or other non-refundable travel arrangements before this date; see Article 4.5 for the limits of our liability for any such costs.

4.3 Weather & safety

Walking routes and the daily schedule may be altered, shortened, or, in extreme cases, suspended for the day, at our discretion, due to weather or safety conditions. Such changes do not entitle you to a refund, provided we continue to deliver the Coaching Experience in an alternative form where reasonably possible.

4.4 Force majeure

We will not be liable for any failure or delay in delivering the Coaching Experience where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, pandemics, government restrictions, civil unrest, or similar events (“Force Majeure”). Where the Coaching Experience cannot proceed due to Force Majeure, we will, where possible, offer you the option to transfer to a future edition. Where this is not possible or not wanted, we will refund the balance you have paid to us, minus reasonable costs already incurred; the €300 deposit is non-refundable in this case, as it covers costs already incurred in preparing your place (see Article 2.3). This clause does not extend to, and has no effect on, the Travel Package, which remains governed by the travel agent’s own force majeure terms.

4.5 Limitation of our liability

If we cancel the Coaching Experience for any reason other than your own breach of these Terms, our maximum liability to you is limited to a refund of the amounts you have paid to us for the Coaching Experience. We are not liable for any other costs you may have incurred, including flights, the Travel Package, travel insurance, or any other travel arrangements.

Article 5: Health, fitness & medical disclosures

5.1 Scope

This Article applies to your participation in the coaching and walking activities that make up the Coaching Experience. It should be read alongside the separate health, fitness, and dietary intake form we will ask you to complete ahead of the Crossroads programme, which collects the specific medical, mobility, and dietary information we need to run the Coaching Experience safely, and the travel agent needs to run the Travel Package safely.

5.2 Physical fitness requirements

The Retreat involves walking approximately 15–22 km per day / 90 km in total over consecutive days, on outdoor terrain that includes uneven paths, inclines, and possibly variable weather conditions. Participants should be in reasonably good physical health and accustomed to sustained walking. Ahead of the Retreat, you will be asked to complete an intake form providing details of any medical condition, injury, dietary requirement, or allergy relevant to your safe participation. We recommend that you consult your doctor before booking if you have any pre-existing condition that may affect your ability to walk for several consecutive days.

5.3 Medical warranty

By booking, and by completing the intake form referred to above, you confirm that you are physically fit to participate in the Coaching Experience without endangering your own health and safety or that of other participants, and that the information you have provided is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

5.4 Right to exclude

We reserve the right to exclude you from any walking activity or session, without refund, if in our reasonable judgement your physical condition, behaviour, or wellbeing poses a risk to your own safety or to the safety of the group.

5.5 Insurance: general

Insurance arrangements for your Crossroads programme are split between different parties, and it is your responsibility to ensure you are adequately covered.

5.6 Travel Package insurance

The travel agent may include certain insurance cover as part of the Travel Package. We make no representation, description, or guarantee as to the scope, limits, or conditions of any insurance included in the Travel Package. Any questions about what that insurance covers, and any claims under it, should be directed to the travel agent directly.

5.7 Our own insurance

We hold professional liability insurance and group accident insurance covering our role as coaches and facilitators. Our own insurance does not cover illness unrelated to an accident, does not include travel assistance or repatriation, and does not extend to any part of the Travel Package.

5.8 Your own insurance is required

You are required to have comprehensive travel and health insurance in place for the full duration of the Crossroads programme. While the travel agent might provide some insurance during your stay in Spain for Crossroads, you are responsible for checking its terms and conditions, and ensuring that it responds fully to your needs. You are also responsible for any complementary insurance such as flight/trip cancellation insurance. We may ask you to confirm you have cover in place before the Retreat begins. We are not responsible for arranging this insurance on your behalf, or for any gap in cover you may experience.

5.9 Age eligibility

Our own accident insurance covers participants who are under 65 years of age at the time of booking and who are not resident in Spain. If you are 65 or over, or you are resident in Spain, please contact us before booking to discuss your options.

5.10 Emergency medical care

If you become unwell or are injured during the Crossroads programme and are unable to give consent, you authorise us to arrange emergency medical treatment on your behalf. Any costs not covered by your own insurance remain your own responsibility.

Article 6: Liability disclaimers and assumption of risk for the Coaching Experience

6.1 Scope

This Article covers risks inherent to the coaching and walking activities we facilitate. It does not cover risks relating to the Travel Package (accommodation, food, luggage transport, support vehicle), which is the travel agent’s sole responsibility as organiser.

6.2 Assumption of risk and liability waiver

Participation in the Coaching Experience, including walking outdoors over consecutive days on the Camino de Santiago, carries inherent risks. Before the Retreat, you will be asked to read and sign a separate Liability and Assumption of Risk form, which sets out these risks in detail together with our limitation of liability. That signed form forms part of your agreement with us and takes precedence over this Article in the event of any inconsistency.

6.3 Travel Package and third-party providers

The travel agent is solely responsible, as the organiser of the Travel Package, for the acts, omissions, and services of any third party involved in arranging or delivering the Travel Package, including accommodation providers, breakfast and dinners, luggage transport, transfers, and any other logistics supplier. We are not a party to, and accept no liability for, any incident, loss, or dispute arising from the Travel Package. Any claim relating to the Travel Package should be directed to the travel agent.

Article 7: Participant code of conduct

7.1 Scope

This Article applies to your conduct during the Coaching Experience, including group sessions and the time we spend walking and facilitating together during the immersive week. Conduct relating to accommodation, transport, or other aspects of the Travel Package is governed by the travel agent’s own terms, or by your own transport provider.

7.2 Behavioural expectations

We ask all participants to engage respectfully with facilitators, fellow participants, and any staff or third parties encountered during the Crossroads programme (including accommodation staff arranged by the travel agent). The Coaching Experience depends on a sense of trust and safety within the group, and we ask you to help protect that.

7.3 Zero-tolerance policy

We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards illegal drug use, harassment, or any illegal act during the Coaching Experience. Any participant found in breach of this policy may be immediately excluded from the Coaching Experience, without refund, at our discretion.

Article 8: Media & photography release

8.1 Scope

This Article applies to any photos or video taken during the Coaching Experience in which you are identifiable.

8.2 Signed authorisation required

Under Spanish law (Ley Orgánica 1/1982 on the right to one’s own image, and applicable data protection law), we may only use any photo or video in which you are identifiable, for promotional or marketing purposes, if you have given express, signed authorisation. This is collected separately through a dedicated Image Rights Authorisation form, which sets out how to give or withdraw your consent, and what happens if you do not sign. That signed form forms part of your agreement with us and takes precedence over this Article in the event of any inconsistency. Your acceptance of these Terms does not, by itself, constitute this authorisation.

Article 9: Intellectual property

9.1 Scope

This Article applies to materials, frameworks, and content we create and use as part of the Coaching Experience.

9.2 Coaching materials

All coaching materials, worksheets, frameworks, and concepts we provide as part of the Coaching Experience remain our intellectual property. You may use them for your own personal reflection and development, but may not copy, distribute, or resell them without our prior written consent.

Article 10: Governing law & dispute resolution

10.1 Scope

This Article applies to the Coaching Experience only. Disputes relating to the Travel Package are governed by the travel agent’s own terms and conditions, which may specify a different jurisdiction.

10.2 Applicable law

These Terms, and the Coaching Experience, are governed by the laws of Spain.

10.3 Dispute resolution

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally through direct communication.

10.4 Jurisdiction

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, Spain.

Article 11: About us

11.1 Identity of the Coaches

“We”, “us”, “our” in these Terms refers to Maria Bardolet and Laetitia Antonowicz, professional certified coaches who together design and deliver the Coaching Experience as independent professionals, each operating under their own professional registration in their respective country (Spain and the United Kingdom). There is no joint legal entity or partnership between us; each of us is separately responsible for our own part of the Coaching Experience, as set out in a private agreement between us.

11.2 Contact

For any questions about these Terms, contact us at contact@laetitia.coach and maria@mariabardolet.com.

Article 12: General provisions

12.1 Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the health and fitness intake form, the Liability and Assumption of Risk form, and the Image Rights Authorisation form referred to in these Terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the Coaching Experience, and supersede any prior discussions, emails, or promotional materials.

12.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

12.3 No waiver

If we do not enforce any provision of these Terms on a particular occasion, this does not waive our right to enforce it on any future occasion.

Acceptance

By paying the deposit referred to in Article 2, the Participant confirms that they have read, understood, and accept these Terms and Conditions in full.
