This page sets out the legal information, privacy practices, and cookie usage for the Crossroads website www.crossroadswalkingretreat.com and the Crossroads Coaching Programme with walking retreat.
Definitions
For the purposes of these Legal Notices, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy, the following terms have the meanings set out below:
Coach: A professional trained to partner with clients in a creative, thought-provoking process that inspires them to maximize personal and professional potential.
Coaching: A structured, confidential process of conversation and reflective practice between a coach and a client (or group of clients), intended to support the client in clarifying goals, gaining insight, and identifying a direction or actions of their own choosing. Coaching is not therapy, counselling, medical treatment, or the provision of professional advice (business, legal, financial, or otherwise).
Coaching Experience: Refers to the coaching elements of the Crossroads programme, comprising: (i) remote individual and group coaching sessions delivered before and after the retreat; and (ii) in-person coaching and facilitation delivered during the Coaching Walking Retreat. The Coaching Experience does not include the Travel Package component of the Crossroads programme. The Coaching Experience has been designed and is delivered by Laetitia Antonowicz and Maria Bardolet, professional certified coaches (together, “we”, “us”, “our”).
Cookies: Small text files placed on your device when you visit a website, used to enable site functionality, remember preferences, or gather analytics data. See Section 3 for details of the cookies used on this website.
Crossroads programme: A transformational nature-based coaching journey, combining two independent components: the Coaching Experience (provided by Laetitia Antonowicz and Maria Bardolet) and the Travel Package (provided by the travel agent). Sometimes referred to as “The Programme”.
Data controller: The natural or legal person who determines the purposes and means of processing personal data, as defined by Article 4(7) GDPR.
Facilitator(s): The certified coach or coaches who design and deliver the Coaching Experience in the Crossroads programme, including conducting individual and group coaching sessions and leading the Coaching Walking Retreat, walking with participants on the Camino, facilitating reflection and learning along the way.
Joint controllers: Two or more controllers who jointly determine the purposes and means of processing personal data, as defined by Article 26 GDPR. In the context of this document, this refers to Laetitia Antonowicz and Maria Bardolet, who jointly determine the purposes and means of processing participant data collected for the Coaching Experience and this website.
Nature-based coaching: Coaching practice that intentionally takes place outdoors and/or draws on the natural environment as part of the coaching process, with nature being a co-facilitator in the process.
Participant: An individual who has booked and is taking part in a Crossroads programme.
Personal data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, as defined by Article 4(1) GDPR.
Processing: Any operation performed on personal data, such as collection, storage, use, disclosure, or deletion, as defined by Article 4(2) GDPR.
Special category data: Personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, health, or other sensitive characteristics listed in Article 9 GDPR, subject to additional protection. In the context of this document, this refers primarily to health, dietary, and mobility information collected for retreat safety purposes.
Travel agent: The independent third-party business responsible for arranging and providing the Travel Package (see below). The travel agent is a separate entity from Laetitia Antonowicz and Maria Bardolet, and is not a joint controller under this Privacy Policy.
Travel package: The travel package from Santiago de Compostela to Fisterra, provided by the travel agent, comprising: the route, accommodation, food (breakfasts and dinners), luggage transfer between stages, insurance (including emergency vehicle assistance in case of injury or accident, at the insurer’s cost), a taxi contact service for participants who are unable to continue walking for non-medical reasons (taxi cost payable separately by the participant), and remote (phone) assistance during the walk. The travel agent is an independent, licensed travel agency and is not a joint provider of the Coaching Experience.
Coaching Walking Retreat: A multi-day programme combining reflective activities with sustained physical walking in an outdoor, natural setting, over consecutive days, designed to support reflection and personal development through the combination of movement, nature, and dialogue.
